Sometimes you are blown away by the impact a member of your class can have on you. Here is one of those occasions. Lisa was asked by Miss T (another teacher in our class to have a go at this science experiment). And guess what! She did and this is what she happened...

Well done Lisa!

Sally and the magical purple shell

This was a start to a story that Ayumi wrote a little while back. I was just reading it again and I was so impressed that I decided to record it in iMovie and create a YouTube video out of it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

The apprentice Archaelogists

Being historical detectives we decided to have a look at some Artefacts that came from Ancient Egypt. We didn't know anything about these artefacts but we studied them and wrote observations about what we saw. We also made some deductions about the Ancient Egyptians based on what we had observed. Please check out our pages to find the notes we made on these artefacts!

Follow that boy!

Dear Reader,

This week we read another super Anthony Browne story called 'Into the Forest'. We decided to create story maps to map the boy's journey from the start of the story to it's conclusion. Why don't you watch the video of the story and see if it matches the story maps we have drawn on our blog pages?
Remember - we want your comments!

How the Colesseum was made!

I enjoyed making the Colosseum although there were a lot of tricky parts. The tricky parts were the seats inside the Colosseum. When I finished, I felt happy that I made it.

Take a trip to Mount Tamotsu

Tamotsu uses Prezi to describe a journey to the perilous Mount Tamotsu in the forest of 3G. It looks like an exhausting hike. Why don`t you pack a rucksack, grab your thermos flask and see how far up the mountain you can get?

Do you know how to say five in Spanish?

Dear Reader,

Avi, Aviation engineer, linguist and mathematician tells us how to count to ten in three different languages. Once again we have to say brilliant work Avi! By the way Avi, how do you say 'brilliant work' in Japanese, Spanish and Punjabi?

The forest comes alive!

Dear Readers,

Welcome to our class blog. This is our first post and we hope that you will take the time to browse through the different and varied pages that make up our class blog. We promise that after you have read, listened and viewed the learning landscape that makes up the wonderful forest you will want nothing more than to return time and again to see what we are doing in class 3G.

As a starting point we offer interested readers a sneak preview of what is to come.

Here is the start of Mateo's free writing story. When I read this story all I wanted to know was 'What will happen to the rare wolf?' and 'Why is it rare?'

So for now we wish you 'Good hunting' in the 'Forest of Wonders' and hope you enjoyed Mateo's story as much as we did!

PS Any comments would be gratefully appreciated!
