ORBI!!!

Two nights ago Mr Willis and his family paid a visit to the new BBC Earth/Sega Natural History museum called ORBI. Watch the video below to see just how fantastic it was. The question I would like to know the answer to is:

' If you could go to ORBI on a school trip, which unit would it give you more ideas for?'

I thought a visit would really help with Year 3's English unit on 'Animal/Shape Poems'.

Toontastic Teaching

Hello Everybody,
Today we had our second Student-Teaching slot. Karen and Lisa were our two teachers and they did a brilliant job. On final reckoning the rest of the class gave them an overall mark of 8.5 out of 10 for their incredible performance. Take a look at the awesome video of their performance as well as the final product from Maya and Maximo (two of their students). I think you will agree that they did a fantastic job!

Monster Birds are herded in the sky
They have fangs, the cries tang, yappity yap

Poetry, Dragons, Wonderland and lego

This term some of us have been reading Alice in Wonderland. While reading the book I remembered Lewis Carroll's famous poem 'The Jabberwocky'.

Inspired by this poem and the quest myths we are currently writing in 3G, I thought that it might be nice to design a lego monster with it's own short poem. Here is my attempt.

Red Ruin

Leathery wings built to bring death,
Fearsome, smoky hell scented breath,
Sabre sharp claws that tear and slice,
A knights lifeless body the final price

It would be great if other people could create their own monster and poem...I look forward to seeing your final creations.
